You know you’ve got a really rockin’ album on your hands when you land on the pages of Rolling Stone…and here we are! Check out Fricke’s Picks from the recently released Issue 1029 and there you’ll find critic David Fricke’s opinion of our very own Passing Strange album, of which he says:

Recorded in April before an audience at New York’s Belasco Theatre, the original cast recording (Ghostlight) arrives a little late — the Broadway production closed in July — but preserves the songs’ acerbic sting and dynamic whirl of New Wave snarl (”Sole Brother”), skewered vaudeville (”The Black One”) and shape-shifting soul (”Keys”).
