Christine Ebersole at the Cafe Carlyle
Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole is performing at the Cafe Carlyle now through February 20. Her show features an eclectic musical program on the subjects of sex, politics, religion…and the weather. Tony Award winner Scott Wittman directs the evening with musical direction by John Oddo.
The New York Times described Ms. Ebersole as “a goddess formed out of the ectoplasm in screwball heaven at the opening-night performance of her new show at the Cafe Carlyle.” Her performance showcases her heavenly soprano voice as well as an engaging, playful persona. Says the New York Times, “Pushing her sweet, relatively light voice to its physical limits, she staked her claim to the same dramatic territory as Lena Horne and Judy Garland. That is very lofty ground.”
Ms. Ebersole has been enchanting audiences throughout her performing career from Broadway to television, film, recordings, and concert appearances. This is definitely a show you do not want to miss! Her albums “In Your Dreams” and “Sunday in New York” are available on our website.
The Cafe Carlyle is located in the Carlyle Hotel at 35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue. For addition information, visit www.thecarlyle.com. Also be sure to visit our website to check out albums by Christine Ebersole!
